I own a 2011 Dodge Ram and I am considering leveling it but am hesitant with some of the stuff I have read online. What should I expect in cost for install? Does it really void your factory warranty? Do you see issues with your front end after install?

Big thing I read after install was adjust your headlights and get an alignment.

TIA!

Those that dont adjust their headlights are the scum of the earth

Then they pull a trailer and blind everyone

Get an alignment after you put the leveling kit on.

Also look into getting the bilstein adjustable shocks rather than a kit.

ETA And adjust your headlights too

If it’s a 2011. Prob don’t have a factory warranty anymore. It’s about $150 for the kit and $150 to have it done. Prob need an alignment done on it afterwards.

Any reason why this is better than spacers?

Yeah not so worried about the warranty issue as mine is pretty much shot, but in case I do this on future vehicles its nice to know.

Get you a set of bilstein 5100 leveling struts.

Normally there are no issues.

fuel mileage will decrease a little.
but if you own a 2011 ram then it shouldn't matter. probably shitty on fuel already

The warranty voiding is a myth as long as the leveling or lift kit is installed properly.

Eliminate an area of potential failure. And the struts are height adjustable so you can set your level exactly where you want it.

If you do level it, by all means please get your headlights adjusted so they're not blinding everyone.

with spacers you limit upward travel of the tire and over extends downward travel. can prematurely wear out components.

the leveling stuts prevent this.

They don't void shite. It's just a spacer that sits on top of the front strut. THat's a HUGE job on that 2011 Ram though, you can expect to pay 4 hours of labor plus the front end has to be realigned because the spindle has to be removed to get the strut out which alters the suspension geometry .

Up to you if it's worth it or not, because it just basically fixes the looks and nothing more.

I wouldn't touch a 6 year old Dodge, it may fall apart

It's not , the only advantage is if you are going to replace the struts anyway. They are simply longer than the OEM struts (not shocks) and therefor lift the front end without need of the spacers.

Untrue , because the spacers sit ON TOP of the strut, they don't affect the travel at all. not one bit.
