Detroit locks down number 1 receivers with Darius Slay. And AJ Green hasn’t been a “stud” 2nd half of season

What are your other options and scoring format?

Start your studs

That would be like sitting Hopkins last week just because he had a tough matchup against the Jags

Ppr

This will sound crazy but considering starting Kelan Cole to negate opponent’s Blake Bortles. Keeps me in the game if Bortles does well again.

Can’t believe I just typed that but thinking it might work.

Cole is a good start, but I wouldn't bench AJ for him.

I have AJ Green and Brandin Cooks. Can’t afford for both of them to dud.

As always, a question like this depends on your options.

But first, let's look a little closer at the statement that Detroit locks down number 1 WRs with Darius Slay.

Disclaimer: I left out games with Chicago and a Browns team missing Josh Gordon/Corey Coleman. Those WR corps are so bad I don't think they're at all relevant. I don't know who Slay shadowed or didn't shadow, so I grabbed every WR that I would consider a team's WR1 or fantasy relevant WR2.

Evans 2-25
Mike Wallace 5-116
Stefon Diggs 5-66
Adam Thielen 8-89
Devante Adams 7-53
Antonio Brown 5-70
JuJu 7-193-1
Michael Thomas 3-11
Kelvin Benjamin 4-58-1
Funchess 7-53-1
Stefon Diggs 5-98
Adam Thielen 5-59
Julio 7-91
OBJ 4-36
Larry Fitz 6-74

OBJ, Mike Evans, and Michael Thomas definitely had bad games...but there are plenty of solid to good games sprinkled in there. Draw your own conclusions, but not sure I'd be terrified of starting AJG when lesser WRs have had playable games vs Detroit.

Sure, but you can't afford to have Cole dud either. Cooks and Green are the better plays here.

Yeah, I think this is a case of overthinking it. Cole hadn't done anything of note until 3 weeks ago. It's reasonable to think he will continue putting up double digits, but it's also reasonable to think he gravitates back toward his mean, which isn't great.

A bad day for AJ Green would be an average day for Keelan Cole.

how you gonna feel on Christmas if AJ has 25 on your bench?

you will feel like Ralphie did when he thought he wasn't getting his gun.

11 of this 15 weeks he's hit double digit points in PPR. Take away last weeks game and the ejection vs the Jags and he's been what's expected.

Lee is going to be back this week and so will Fournette. That will limit his opportunities and he also won't be wide open like he was vs the Texans

Lee returned to practice today but didn't participate. It's Wednesday so I would wait until the Friday practice report.

I have Martavais Bryant and AJ Green and I'm still leaning towards Green

Benched him this past week in lieu of Goodwin. Won because of that move.
