They have found diamonds in the rough, and developed players to compete with the best in league, who have 50x more talent.
I find that more impressive than anything he did/ would do in MLS.
Not trying to be a dick about MLS, but if you follow any Dutch soccer, you know how AZ has over achieved, even when hit with injuries, which, for clubs like them, can be huge hits compared 2 PSV,Feyenoord,Ajax.

He was on a podcast a year or 2 ago and I was impressed with him. Mostly about his plan for youth development which makes the current stipulation that he won't be involved in that pretty frustrating
