So this is just who you are hoping to pick in the first 4 rounds? I think that things won't go according to plan.

I’ve done a few mocks and all 4 players are usually there. Howard might be gone before my second pick but it’s pretty reasonable. You don’t think cooks drops to 4th round?

I wouldnt take Howard there.

You think he’ll do much worse than his last 2 years. I’ll take 1000 yards and 6-7 tds out of my number 2 rb. You taking Evans over Howard?

More so, I just think your approach is too restrictive. Someone(s) going to make picks that you don't expect that aren't typical of your mocks. You have to be more fluid in how you handle a draft. Feel the flow of how people are making picks. Rely on that more than a plan of targeting particular players. You try to have too rigid of a plan, and you don't take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves. Just my approach at least. To each their own.

obviously if better players fall to me then of course I’ll take them. But the first 3 or 4 rounds are pretty predictable.

Since it's PPR, it's tough for me to pass on an RB who could catch 100 passes at 3 if either Leveon or DJ are there. I would also favor Evans over Howard. Cooks in the fourth is money.

Normally I would agree with you. But I just think zeke’s floor is a little bit higher. If I knew Bell was going to be there week 1 then yea I would take him. I know it was just a wrist injury with DJ but he has a new coach and new QB. We know what we are going to get with zeke. I’m all about averting risk in the first few rounds

I haven't done much research yet, but at first glance I like the Diggs pick in round 3, not a big fan of Howard in the 2nd. Would def take Zeke at 1.3

Personally I’m avoiding Cooks this year. He very well may thrive as a number 1, but this is a rough year for him to cut his teeth in that role...look at these matchups:
Oakland - Rashaan Melvin
Az - Pat Peterson x 2
Chargers - Casey Hayward
Minny - Xavier Rhodes
Seattle - Byron maxwell x 2
Denver - Harris
San Fran - Sherman x 2
Green Bay - Tramon Williams
New Orleans - Lattimore
KC - Kendall Fuller
Det - Darrius Slay
Chi - Kyle Fuller
Philly - Ronald Darby
Brutal schedule, plus being more of a deep threat than a volume guy raises flags for me in PPR

DJ is still going to get the lions share of the RB work in AZ. Bradford loves to dump off to his RBs. If he gets hurt, Rosen as a rookie will learn heavily on DJ. That offense will flow through DJ and Fitz.
DJ is a PPR monster having played WR in college. Wilks has said he is going to use DJ basically the same.
Cardinals defense is trash and they will be playing by from behind a lot. That normally would turn you off an RB, but not DJ because his skills as a WR. I, personally, would take him over Zeke all day. But you're not wrong for going with your gut. Neither is a bad pick.
I'm actually not as down on Howard as others are. Nagy has said he wants to involve him on all 3 downs. Cohen shouldn't scare anyone away from him, hes a gadget player. They will likely be on the field at the same time and Howard is without a doubt the goalline back. That offense should be improved and Hiward finished last year as RB12. I think he finishes there or higher. Fantastic RB2.
I like to take a shot on my RB2 and might take McKinnon or Mixon there because I like their upside more. But really I would go WR if an elite option is still there and take a ride with Guice in the 3rd. But you seem to want to play more risk averse than that, so your picks are solid.
I'm not a fan of Cooks in that offense despite his payday. They run 3 WR sets more than any other team in the NFL and have said that Woods is their established WR1 and Kupp is their slot guy and was top in the league in RZ targets last year, and now Watkins is gone who was also a big RZ target for them. Cooks has never been that type of receiver. I just don't know where he fits in.
But in the end you have to be happy with your team to have fun. Those picks are fine if they fall that way to you.

Thanks for the logical response. I do like to avoid risk early on in drafts. I’m with you on Howard, I think he does at least as well as he did last year barring injury. And you bring up good points about cooks. Might look elsewhere in round 4

I think this happens to a lot of people. They over mock themselves and fall in love with certain players and certain mocks they did and assume that’s who they should take instead of focusing on players that might be better suited for their team sitting in the wings
