That Porcupine answer is among the stupidest things Ive ever seen on TV. He was dead serious.
I submit the guy who "cheated" and nailed the Showcase to the dollar on The Price is Right. They did not know what to do. They knew he cheated but couldn't prove it. And we get what is a big moment just treated like a throwaway by Drew Carey.
I read a behind the scenes story of the incident one time - there was morally 5 minutes of down time between the takes. They took over an hour trying to figure it out. They couldn't prove he did anything wrong, so they went with it.

But what happened is that he and his wife were loyal watchers of the show, and the entire showcase had been given away. She had notes and had their exact prices from previous shows in the last 30 days.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was so huge when it first aired and Regis was an awesome host. That show was a giant. Everyone you knew watched that show and knew when that guy first won a million.
But the Ken Jennings run was something else. It captivated people. I wonder if the early OT had a thread for that. It would have been awesome to have a 74 game long Ken Jennings in game thread.
