I ate well, drank great beers, caught a bunch of trout, climbed mountains and got in hot springs in CA this weekend, so there's that....

So as much as you wingnuts may like to attack it (because it votes Democratic), there obviously is a lot going for the state.

yup- it's a whole other world out that way. Quite red. I walked into a fly outfitter on Friday morning blasting Rush L- that would never happen in the bay area. I just have to call people out who do not realize there is not just one CA. it's vast and the coast is not like the rest of it.
