Girls/women posing for pics with one hand on the hip and one knee bent...

I hadn't really paid attention but for some reason when I watched my family take Christmas pics this year every female from 10 to 80 had one hand on the hip and one knee bent (like the two girls on the ends below). It looked like a fricking high school dance team group pic. So later on my wife is going through old pics and it was the same thing in almost every pic from the last 5 years or so. Talk about being oblivious.

this is the correct answer ^^^^^^
also it hides any camel toe that might show and the slight turn hides their belly fat and muffin pouch. its also why they slightly bend over as well
i dont think most even know "why" they do it, they were just programmed since birth that thats how to take the most flattering pictures.
