Shenmue 3 is an Epic Games Store Exclusive

We are happy to announce that Shenmue III for PC will be will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Development for Shenmue III has been moving forward using Unreal Engine and the support we have received from Epic has been excellent. But most importantly, in looking for the most enjoyable experience on PC, it was decided together with Deep Silver after much discussion that the Epic Games Store would be the best distribution platform option. *For inquiries regarding the General Sales such as Epic Games Store exclusive or Pre-Order, please see our FAQ page. Yeah, definitely the best. Nearly completely deprived of all user features that Steam and other platforms have had for over a decade. Totally the best experience for the users.

The day that publishers stop charging the same rate for a digital game as they do a physical game, I'll care about their bottom line a little.

If Steam wants to have access to games, they should offer better incentives.
If Steam users want access to games through Steam, they need to find a way to express their opinions/stances that Steam is losing out and needs to change.
These producers know that people will buy their games no matter what. They know people will use Epic to play their games.
Epic isn’t the one people should be upset with, it is Steam.

Everyone is angry at Epic, but Steam is the problem.
That’s an 18% difference in what they bring in.
