Yeah, I've never understood the mini legacy console craze. There have been ways to play these games without having a console for years. Is it the convenience of them, or just blind fanboy loyalty?

Convenience, using controllers that feel like the real ones, the mini console looking like the real thing in that order.

I'll never own one personally, but I get it.....for some of them. That PS1 thing can DIAF.

You already have that. 8bitdo's controllers are fantastic for NES and SNES emulation, I think they just released a PS clone controller. The genesis controller probably has clones, but I haven't looked for it. You can use actual PS3 bluetooth dual shocks with RPi's.
Collectors is the big thing I see for them and I can respect that aspect. I do enjoy these coming out though, I have made easy money off preordering these and sticking them on ebay for dumb moms to buy though.
