Moon Griffon is an idiot

Per his show this morning, apparently Billy Nungesser is the enemy now because he didn't come out with a statement of support for Rispone by the Monday morning after a Saturday night election. Moon is accusing him of secretly backing JBE.
I'd frankly be shocked if that were the case, but who knows. Nothing surprises me in Louisiana politics.
But one thing I've noticed about Moon is that he doesn't seem to be happy unless he's coming up with new witches to hunt. Every day on the air he did everything he could to deepen the divide between the Abraham/Rispone camps. He outright lied that Trump endorsed Ralph Abraham, and spent a couple of weeks repeating that lie in hopes his listeners would fall for it.
So what's the deal, are we supposed to hate Nungesser now? Someone help me keep up. I had this silly idea that JBE was the target for the next few weeks.

I didn't know we were supposed to like him. He benefits by the letter next to his name. But he's been in politics too long and is just like every other politician.

If the race was between JBE and Nungesser, I’d stay home. And that’s pretty amazing considering I’m vastly opposed to JBE.

That's because he is.
Billy worked a deal with JBE to not only not run against him this time but to not even do anything negative against him in exchange for JBE including him in high-profile stuff in order for Billy to position himself better for running for Governor in 2024.
If JBE wins re-election, Billy runs in 2024. If Rispone wins the runoff, Billy will have to wait until 2028 (and with the shenanigans he pulls, he may not last that long).

I don't really have an opinion on him; like I said, it wouldn't surprise me. It just seems to be Moon's M.O. to be a passive-aggressive thug who'll create enemies out of whole cloth to fill airtime.

When I still lived in Leesville I would listen to him quite often - then about a decade ago, I got to the point I couldn't stand it any more - sort of became a babbler.

I listened when he first got popular, but then it got to the point where half the show was inside jokes and fishing stories that I couldn't gaf less about. I haven't listened in well over a decade.

Billy has zero shot at becoming governor. He's made a career on not taking a position on anything.
