Does anybody here have one of these guns? Thoughts or recommendations?

I’ve always been a benelli guy but I have a friend that owns the sx3 in 12 and 20 and just bought the sx4 too. He loves them. I’ve shot the sx4 and it was a nice gun.

Great gun, especially at it's price. Extremely light so if you re doing any upland style of hunting or clays or anything it's comfortable to carry around.
Well balanced, easy to keep clean, and not outrageously expensive so you won't feel like a tool taking it out to actually use it. It's not going to win any beauty contests but yeah, it's a solid piece of equipment.
I retired my old Model 23 and use this now.

Thanks for the input, fellas. I retired my old 870 Wingmaster to move to a Benelli Nova (love the gun), but now want to transition to a semi-auto.

In that price point, be sure to check out the Franchi Affinity as well.

I have a Benelli SBE2 and an SX3. I typically shoot better with the SX3. The SX3 and 4 are the most underrated shotguns on the market.
If Winchester charged $1600 for them, every redneck in the South would have one or want one. They don’t get the credit they deserve because they are cheaper than their competitors.

Completely agree with all of this.

People who have them seem to really like them.

Grew up shooting Remi 870s as most did. Got my Versamax 12g about 5-6 years ago and haven’t had 1 problem with it. Bought an Sx3 20g last year to play around with and transition my son into in a few years and the thing shoots lights out. Points and feels just like an 870. Also, I have shot a buddies SX4 12g and it is very similar to the SX3 12g he had.

I have an SX3, tried on an SX4 a few times. It shoulders even better than the SX3.
The action in these guns is solid. Mine shoots better dirty than clean. Just wipe the gas system down with a dry rag before each season and it's fine.
The action is also faster than pretty much any other shotgun action in the current market. If there's a gun as fast as this one, it's because it shares the same action.

I have the SX3 and I love it. The only problem I had was with the stock loosening up one time. I tightened the bolts and it’s been fine since. My buddy has the SX4 and the real difference is that the SX4 is lighter because it uses polymer in place of some of the metal parts on the SX3. The 4 feels great in the hand as it has more comfortable grips than the SX3 and my friend likes it a lot. I enjoyed shooting it as well.

Ditto...I got one when they first came out and have been more than satisfied with the performance in any kind of weather...
Had a problem with the Dura Touch stock (they don't do that anymore)
called em...
they sent a prepaid RMA...
got the gun back with new stock and forearm in two weeks...
great service...
gun shoots itself and can stand up to South Louisiana duck hunting flawlessly...

I retired my 870 a few years ago and bought a Franchi I-5. Didn’t shoot well with it and it jammed a lot. Replaced that with an SX3 and absolutely love it!!! Never had an issue with it. Great gun. Son just bought an SX4 and I find it’s actually a little better. Can’t go wrong. Great gun.
