No disrespect to whoever gets the 4th seed, especially Utah, but the buzz seems to be between these top 3 teams(unless an upset happens in the Conference Championships).

How would each fanbase like/dislike their chances against the other?

Well according to useless statistics OSU has a 100% chance of beating the Patriots

I'll preface this by saying this isn't a prediction of who would win, just better matchup like you said, and also just riffing and no real thought put into it.

LSU matches up better with Clemson
Clemson matches up better with Ohio
Ohio St matches up better with LSU

I know you're mentally fragile in general, but you're worse than usual.

Are you doing ok?

But according to the people on this board OSU would lose to Tennessee just because they are in the SEC

They are just trolling. Anyone can see OSU is as elite as anyone this year.

Ehhh it’d be close but I think osu would take a lead late in the fourth.

Tennessee=penn state with their starter rather than the back up

I think all 3 fanbases feel pretty confident going into any game. I think OSU has the biggest game wrecker on D with Young, and the most dominant run game of the 3. I don't think OSU's defense has been tested as well as LSU's has, but also think they are a bit more sound in their gap integrity

I think it's extremely hard to know much about Clemson this season. They just haven't played anyone in 2 months who is even considered pretty good, so we don't know where they are. We know they won last year with a dominant DL who are all in the NFL now. Their new DL could be just as good when they play good teams

LSU has a better shot at beating Clemson than OSU does. OU has a better shot at beating OSU than Utah. Clemson would skulldrag OU.

Right now, LSU is better postured than the other two due to their fast starts. Recently, even though they have won by large margins, it has taken Ohio State and Clemson a few drives...even a few quarters to pull away. LSU, on the other hand, has landed the knockout punch early enough in their games that their opponents, even those that came back late, didn't have enough to overcome the early deficits.

Think Alabama/Oklahoma 2018.

And you would be incorrect. Ohio State scores more points in the first half and give up less points in the first half than LSU. The only quarter LSU outscores Ohio State is the 3rd quarter and even then the edge is only 11.5-10.4 PPG in the 3rd quarter. Ohio State still gives up less in the quarter so it's a net win.

Team Rankings Dot Com

ETA: It's not a huge margin (30-27 points scored in the first half on average) but Ohio State is NOT a slow starting team.
