I would call it a success considering all the adversity we faced this season(Drew's injury, losing a bunch of our LBs, Kamara's lingering injury), but what do you guys think?

Def a failure. The objective is to get another ring with brees after 2 heartbreaking losses in the previous 2 postseasons.

I fail to call anything a failure without knowing beforehand what occurred.

Anytime you don't win a title with an elite team, it's a failure.

With the talent and a hof qb, I think every year you don't win Superbowl its a failure.

Calling it a failure is too harsh.
If we don’t win the SB, we won’t have achieved our ultimate objective, but I wouldn’t call the season a failure. - You have to consider context and circumstances.

If the Saints are outplayed in a fairly officiated game in the Superbowl, I will sleep well.

Another screwjob and it's a complete waste of everyone's time.

Failure is all about individual expectations.

My personal expectations at this point are to get a rematch with SF in the NFCCG and play a complete game, win or lose. I think anything less is a failure, but to each his/her own.

The failure, IMO, would fall to the front office for not doing enough to diversify the offensive attack enough (as teams will try to take MT13 away).

Now, Jared Cook may well be that difference-maker that mitigates this, but we don't know that (of course) at this point.

This team isn’t going to the Super Bowl. The defense is a mess.

This. Though I will admit if we lose to Green Bay or Minnesota I’ll probably be a little upset just because I think we are better than them. If we lose to San Fran, Kansas City or Baltimore fair and square I’ll be ok.

I just don’t want a repeat of last year in the playoffs. If we lose fair and square, even if it’s to Minnesota or Green Bay, then I’ll be OK. I just don’t want a bad call to determine an outcome. And it’s up to Roger and Al Riveron to make sure that doesn’t happen but I have no faith that happens. Someone will get screwed in the playoffs and it will probably be us

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. I expect to make the NFCCG. As long as that happens, I’ll be OK, simply because I don’t think Minnesota or Green Bay are better than we are.

Big failure. Winning without Brees shows you how good this team is. None of the NFC playoff teams can win in that situation. Saints are better than GB and on par with SF if not better. Saints getting healthy and Brees has been outstanding since that Atlanta loss. No reason we should not make the Super Bowl even without homefield. Barring any bullshite like the last two years.

Any season in which you play in the NFCCG is a success.

Anything below that, with the team the Saints have, is a failure.

Yes it would be a failure.

Especially when you consider the fact that the Saints have had more than enough talent since 2006 to win AT LEAST two Super Bowls. Gotta get it done.
