Played Beaver Creek yesterday and it was the busiest I've ever seen it. Most of the parking lot was full. Every hole had someone on the green, and in the fairway, and on the box with one group typically waiting to get to the box. Took us just under 4 hours to finish. I think one rider per cart plus no rakes in bunker, plus no pulling of the pin has helped with the pace of play.

Anyone else noticing significant increases on pace of play? I'd welcome this as a long term solution to help speed up a round.

I’ve grown to hate the one rider per cart. Too much time with my own thoughts

I've played several 3 hour rounds recently with a foursome. It's been great. Single rider carts should be the new way to play.

Kills golf banter but drastically speeds up rounds.

Plenty of time for discussion yesterday on tee boxes and waiting for greens to clear. I am a fan of faster pace of play though. Can find my groove quicker.

I do miss the banter as stated above. Banter is half the fun.

BC does allow two per cart and I think Santa Maria is the only BREC course that is still one per cart.

This is one of my favorite things about golf.

Why don’t you enjoy that aspect?

Yep. If you're "relatives." They appeared to not care. 99% of the players I saw were solo riding, hence improved pace of play.

My biggest problem with the one rider per cart is it makes it hard for walkers to keep up. With 2 ppl in a cart a walker can generally play at the same pace
