Just picked up golf 3 weeks ago and have played 4 rounds so far. I've probably played 5 rounds of golf in my entire life previously and hadn't played a single round in the last 7-8 years.
Shot a 98 at Santa Maria on Saturday.
Took a swing evaluation lesson at Golftec that helped tweak my swing a little bit and am now hitting my irons a lot better and only had a couple fat shots. My putting really let me down but that will come with practice. I need to go play in the sand somewhere because it takes me a good 3 shots to get out so luckily I only ended up in the sand twice on Saturday.

Congrats, Golf is a game for a lifetime.
There will always be up and down rounds, shots left out there and etc..
But there is always that one shot where you go I love this game.

Congrats. I’ve played on and off for years and never done it (record was a 101).
However I took my first lesson last week too and I’ve never seen such a jump in my game. Shot a 51 on 9 Sunday but that was with awful putting and still trying to force my 3 wood finding myself hitting too many rescue shots
This weekend I’m going to play a couple of rounds only teeing off with a hybrid or iron and see how I do
