When I worked at Audubon after the renovation we had a dew whip for greens

When putting on a green with dew still on it, you can see all the previous putt lines from earlier groups and can see how the green breaks. Kinda like cheating..

That’s the way we used to remove dew on fairways on tournament days that started early. We always mowed or rolled all greens on playing days though? Weird for a course that nice not to do the same.

That’s satisfying as hell to watch.
But I agree, I like the early morning dew lines on the greens to get a better idea for the breaks
