Saints' RB Alvin Kamara has had an unexcused absence from training camp the past three days and it is believe to be contract related, per sources.

Talks between Kamara and the Saints have grown closer. See if it can get over the hump.

Sounds like talks are close and his agent has advised him to hold out until the new deal which is almost done goes through.

Which is smart.

Josina Anderson is now reporting the Saints are "open to a trade".

Wow.

If someone comes in and offers them a 1st, why wouldn’t they take it?

Sounds like Kamara May be asking for a bit too much.

Apparently the Saints want to pay him 12 per, which puts him in the top 5 RBs, but he wants closer to McCaffery money.

This is likely the Saints sending a message that this is it, and if Klutch Sports doesn't like it, we can send you to Buffalo.

Yeah he’s asking too much

Fournette to the Saints with Murray and Ty Mont handling the passing work? Possibly.

Just said on @NFLTotalAccess:

#Saints RB Alvin Kamara intends to show up tomorrow and practice after missing several days following an epidural shot in his back last Thursday. The sides weren't that far apart on an extension before things went sideways.

Man if Kamara gets traded that’s gonna shake some things up.

Is this changing your strategy if you are drafting mid first round?

I'm told #Saints RB Alvin Kamara is in the building, and that the team is also expecting to see him practice. Both sides will continue to talk through an extension. A potential trade still remains on the table if top-round draft compensation is offered, per source this morning.

The epidural is an overlooked part of this whole saga.

Oh it definitely is. Like, why is he getting that with no explanation? Then it was supposedly an unexcused absence as well.

One note on #Saints RB Alvin Kamara being back at practice: The shot he received in his back was just for SI joint inflammation and the shot calmed it down. Not considered a big deal at all.

The Buccaneers have emerged as a serious suitor for RB Leonard Fournette, sources say. Not done, but there's serious interest there.

So another weapon for Tom Brady may be on its way.

I’m old enough to remember when they were a serious suitor for AB84 a few months back

Lol Fournette is no weapon.

Fournette would definitely be a weapon in that offense. He would be a complimentary player instead of having to be the centerpiece.

I recall a game where Fournette bulldozed a few Auburn DBs.

Former #Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette is planning to sign with the #Bucs, per me and @TomPelissero. The belief is it will get done

He'll be the best back Tampa Bay has. They obviously are hoping to make a run at the superbowl with Brady potentially playing his last year. They think Fournette is a big upgrade at a position of weakness for that offense.

Fournette doesn't have much time to learn the offense and get reps, but by week 6-8 I wouldn't be surprised if he's beaten out Ronald Jones. I don't think Bruce Arians likes RJ much... Just stuck with him as the best available.
