Need to upgrade my flashlights and things appear to have vastly improved since the last time I bought one.

Thanks

I have liked my Olights for an affordable light.

As much as I hate that they are a Chinese company, Olight makes some awesome flashlights. They run sales fairly often so I would wait for one unless you need a light now.

My older Fenix lights are better built IMO but these new lights are super bright, almost too bright. I had the brightest AA flashlight ever made at the time, the TK40, it was expensive but built like a tank. I picked up some of their new 4 battery AA lights, when you turn them on it is like the TK40 isn't even on they wash it out so bad. Now, I can use the TK40 as a bludgeoning weapon in a pinch, no such luck with the new lights. Also, the new lights are CHEAP $$ $ for brighter lights.

I have two Nitecore mh20

They fit in the palm of your hand, are 1000 lumens and rechargeable.

I use mine all the time

Have multiple olights which are very nice but just purchased a streamlight protac hl5x dual flashlight. This bad boy is a blow torch. Brightest light I have by far. Cal use cr123 no rechargeable batteries also. Very impressive.

Looking at them on Amazon, they all look to have pocket clips...are these removable? I hate that so many pocketknives have clips that can’t be removed, I am not a fan of clips.

I've been moving back to MagLite's recently. They make a Mag-Tec rechargeable that's smaller and resembles a tactical flashlight and a Mag Lite rechargeable that resembles the C cell MagLite's of old. Both 600+ lumens. Both made in the USA and both under $100.

Pelican makes some awesome flashlights that are super bright and well built. The 7610 is around $70 and worth every penny

I recommend a Feniz Ld40

It’s not rechargeable but takes 4 AA batteries. With a good battery like Duracell it lasts a long time I just changed the batteries in it for first time in 2 years. Has 3 different brightness settings too. Great light
