I'm asking because it seems like giving the school the power to decide to cancel/postpone or not is a perfect recipe to hide a key injury or two. College football is all about winning, so I hope there are some safeguards in place to validate the tests to prevent teams for using it to their advantage and postponing games to give their team time to heal.

SEC has guidelines which include a minimum number of players available at most positions.

We should cancel all of ours the rest of the way

After our last fight with UF they gave the commissioner sole authority to make the decision. He will listen to both schools but the decision is his to make.

OK that makes sense. I had forgotten how ugly it had gotten between LSU-UF a few years ago. If that's the case, the commish should be cancelling/postponing the game any minute.

SEC Rule No. 1: favor Alabama;
Rule 2: If Ala. is not implicated, favor Auburn;
Rule 3: if 1 or 2 do not apply, favor the higher ranking team with the highest viewer potential ( typically, Fla. or Ga.).
Rule 4: Except as provide above, be fair.

Stankey will allow Fla. to do whatever giives them the best shot at winning the game including allowing them to postpone or cancel. That is what he did during the hurricane debacle.

At least 53 players available. A minimum stated number of O line, D line etc. Florida may be suspending operations to signal a desire to postpone. It may be critical players involved.

If that were the case, then A&M would get all the love and we know that’s not the case.
