The announcement and launch of 16 new cities after the pandemic began. This after complaining about not having enough aircraft a few years ago.
Latest announcements
Destin/Ft. Walton Beach - BNA/BWI/DAL/MDW starting in May. 11th station in Florida!
LINK
Bozeman, Montana - LAS/DEN also starting in May.

Interesting timing for this. Must be aimed for leisurely travel and not business travel.
Numerous reports and predictions call for business travel to not recover for 5 years or even longer.

Makes no sense to fly into Destin/Ft. Walton when they already fly into PNS and ECP

Flights from DEN>Bozeman were $59 each way yesterday. You can fly and drive to Big Sky faster than driving from Denver to Breck on a Saturday morning.

Found this a little odd too.

Dallas to Bozeman roundtrip for around $200. That's pretty awesome.

That bozeman route is huge. Going to take advantage of the free bags for hunts.

Unless they plan to get rid of ECP or PNS or both? Makes a lot more sense for Destin (VPS) to be used in the middle of the 3 then the other 2.
Southwest was given a sweetheart deal to go into ECP when ECP first opened, I'm just spitballing here but its possible that promotion is ending so they are opening their options? VPS is in the middle of the 3 and roughly 55-75 minutes from both PNS and ECP.
ETA: I love this, Allegiant's growth, and some other direct flight routes.

Good point here
I hope they do not pull out of either

I know PNS, VPS and ECP account for a massive military presence spread between them with lots of coming and going year round. Lots of retirement money along with tourism being more year round than it once was.

I’m not sure business travel will ever fully recover. The days of flying out just to have a face to face are long gone and probably for the better. Such a waste of money.

We go to Destin. Renting a car from either of the current airports and driving thru the traffic is a beating.

That’s exciting - I’ve been thinking of booking short flights for my kids that haven’t been on a plane before.
