Going to Houston, I got 3 girls, part of their Christmas gift was a trip to American Girl store at memorial mall in Houston. Need some ideas for 2-3 day trip, and also Air BNB suggestions, really in regards as to what area to stay in, thanks

If a lawn maintenance engineer with a limp approaches you while in Houston, tell the girls to run away fast and don’t look back.

How old are they? I assume young if American girl is the destination.

Ice skating rink 20 feet from American girl at the mall.
Museum of natural science - hall of gems and butterflies exhibit.
Zoo
NASA

Heights area probably has some good Airbnb’s and lots of restaurants that would be walkable

There is a children's museum downtown. We did it about 10 years ago with kids that were about 5 and 7, and it was a great experience for the kids. We also were able to catch an Astros game on Friday night, when they do fireworks after the game. I think that there is a popular observatory if your kids are interested looking at the stars.

We did the Color Factory, NASA, and Natural History Museum with our 3 (4, 6, & 7 yo). They enjoyed it all

We used hilton points and stayed at the C Baldwin hotel. It's a Curio. This was last April so all the amenities were mia but it worked fine for us.
