Anyone ever use corporate codes when renting a car ?

For a company you aren't affiliated with? Just wondering if the car companies will ask any questions or revoke my rate mid rental if they found out. Have an upcoming trip to Yellowstone and Glacier in which I'll be doing a one way rental from jackson hole airport to kalispell. Normally I wouldn't even bother but upon researching cars it's coming out to like 1200-1400 bucks for the 8 days I'll need. Some corporate codes with Hertz I've seen knock like 60% off. What sayeth the travel board? Thanks in advance

So you’re asking for advice on how to deceitfully swindle a car rental company?

My corporate account is linked to my rewards so anytime I use it for personal use the only change is the card I use to pay with... but to answer your question I receive the discounted rate without any questions

Which rental company do you use it through?

We're doing a one way rental out of Jackson Hole airport for 9 days as well. Think that Jackson Hole one way rentals are just very expensive.
I've got the highest status with National & Hertz, but it's still really costly for this rental. Most of the vehicle choices don't even come with any mileage. They want to charge per mile.

The rental car pricing setup is one of the dumber processes in commerce.
What should be a 10 minute operation takes hours pumping in codes to make sure you don't overpay.

There is only one rental car code anyone needs: Costcotravel.com
I always seem to get excellent rates through them.

Flyer talk used to have a running thread on them.

Check off-airport pickup sites as well. For our trip to Yellowstone, Glacier, etc., I was pricing a 3 week, 1-way SUV rental from Jackson Hole airport to my home airport in North Carolina, and it was coming in at around $2400 after searching all of my usual sites/rental companies.
I played around with it (endlessly, it seemed like!), and ended up getting the 3-week SUV (Hertz) rental from a Salt Lake City off (but near)-airport location to a North Carolina off-airport location for $450. Definitely the best bargain we've scored for a car rental in all of our travels, but it really took some digging to figure out a way to avoid that $2400 quote.
We had to make the ~5 hr. drive from SLC to Jackson Hole, but the 1-way flights to SLC vs. Jackson Hole were a lot cheaper too. Ended up going to Jackson Hole by way of Idaho and made a pit stop for tubing in Lava Hot Springs.
This was July 2018.

Yes. Fantastic rate and no one ever asked for proof. My co-worker has tried to use the same code and every time he picks it up they want some sort of proof.

What irritates me is that opposite routes are just as expensive. If most people are starting in Jackson Hole and dropping the car in Glacier, fine. That's a burden on them and I get it. But people who pick up in Glacier and drop off in Jackson should be getting a discount, not gouged with the same fees, for doing them a favor and returning their local cars.

I've never seen car rentals that high. Gonna suck but what can you do.
