Better safe than sorry. We don't push an injury that historically can stay with players if not treated properly AND we don't risk him getting scooped up by another team if we try to get him on the practice squad. It would've been nice to see Adrian develop this season, but i think i can wait considering the circumstances.

This isn't really injury related. He's a 7th round pick who missed quite a bit of time with a minor injury...you can't justify giving him a roster spot just because of talent when we have 6 capable receivers. He's on IR just because we didn't want to risk him being claimed off of waivers before we get him on the practice squad. It's a smart move for us, and it should pay off in the future.

sitting out the season will help that injury heal. even if it needs surgery he will be fine in time for ota's i'd imagine.

I think its a great move. We don't have to worry about losing him now. Give him a year to learn the playbook.

yep, just like we did with Meachem. will be interesting to see how it works out. heck, if so much money wasn't tied up in draft picks, it wouldn't be a bad idea for a lot of rookies.

Also, for all you die-hard Devery fans, it almost ensures Devery being around this year.

Of course, next year, i don't think they will renew his contract again cause of the cruntch, I.E. Colston, Patten, Meachem, Arrington, Moore, Copper, and whoever else we might pick up.

Exactly. And a move like this probably means that he won't be here next year.

Except players on IR can not practice.

This was a smart move most definitly. I understand that he has alot of upside, but we are full at his position and I think that he could be better than some of our lesser wide recievers in a year or two.
