Now that the time changed I thought I could go to the range after work. I called pelican point and was told the range closes at 5:30. It's still daylight until 6:45ish. Looking for somewhere to hit a bucket after work. I could be on the range for 5:15ish

About 20 mins I think I could make that work. How late do they sell tokens and how late can you hit?

You can hit in the dark if that’s what you like. That’s taxpayer funded

Santa Maria if you want to risk competing with 800 other people for a mat.

If you’re in south BR. There aren’t many options.

LSU’s range is dirt.

Sherwood’s range is your choice of old mat or long grass/dirt.

Idk about Greystone.

Beaver Creek is easily the best range. Condition wise and traffic wise. Just have to weigh that against driving 40 minutes

Yes they sell tokens. I buy a big bucket(3 tokens) every time I go and if I only use 1, I hold on to the rest so if will save me a trip to the club house next time. I think it is on Wednesdays they close the range earlier because of mowing the following morning.

It’s absurd that there isn’t a great late night range option in Baton Rouge. I’ve lived in a few different cities and they have all had ranges that stay open until 9-10pm that were always full of people who get off work late and want to work on their game.

Lubbock had a great outdoor driving range with a bar restaurant and cornhole, video games and a big outdoor patio. It was awesome

i believe they're planning to open a new range where the old caddy shack was on siegen. Which is kind of odd because its right down the road from topgolf.

For the price of a bucket of balls, go walk 9 holes at Webb or City Park after work. It's light until 7:30. Play a couple balls on each hole as long as you're not holding anyone up. Playing "worst ball" with yourself will get you better quick.

ain't a bad idea. I work downtown and i wear jeans to work. I can't be caught wearing jeans to the course so I'd probably have to go home before i go out.

Bring a pair of shorts and change in the restroom.

What’s the deal with Sherwood anyway? It almost looks like they have a green back in there.
The range situation here is sad. I’d love a little chip facility and range right in the middle of everything.

if i had the money/land i'd love to build a decent range. We would just need a great practice facility here with lights. Something the size of topgolf but geared more towards people who actually play. I dont think the new Golfsuites will do that either. It seems like the same thing as topgolf. Louisiana's golf industry is just bad..
