Randall/Russell was terrible because it was run by Saban. He just jerked both of them around. I can't compare the two.

The premise is bad. It should be Hatch or Lee just like it should have been Russell or Randall. Saban f'ed up that situation and lets hope that Les doesn't. A tandem is what we had last year, which worked. Flynn and Perriloux complimented each other. Hatch and Lee don't really do that. They are both pretty much the same QB, one of them just needs to step up and be the man.

No brainer. Hatch/Lee passed for what, about 20 yards? We'll see though, as I am sure Les was getting them comfy.

After one game I would say we have this totally sorted out.

We will see what your Hispanic Hurler can do against a defense that is truely d-1.

I don't know why everyone's freaking out... All Hatch/Lee were given to do Saturday was get into managing a game and complete some passes. Both did a fairly good job at that (Hatch a little moreso than Lee.) Sure they did throw a couple bad ones each and didn't do anything that "WOWED," but they got the job done and let the defense and the talent around them take care of the rest... Doesn't that seem similar to a certain season 5 years ago?

Also, people are criticizing the defensive secondary. 13 points--- 3 of which came on a 4 yd. drive. The d only allowed ONE decent drive the entire game against an offensive attack that has often given us trouble in the last 3 years. QBs with the ability to run usually give us trouble... (Tebow and Florida; McFadden and Arkansas---he lined up at QB a lot) No, Appalachian State is not Florida or Arkansas. But look at Ole Miss in 2006. Brent Schaeffer was a good scrambling QB and the God-awful Rebels battled us into overtime! Now I think Appalachian offense is easily just as good as that 06 Ole Miss's. So, I thought we did a great job on d. And it was great to see guys swarming the ball and BLITZING AGAIN!!!! I'm SO GLAD Pelini is gone!!!! We would blitz maybe once a game.

Care to eloborate? I'm only going off what I saw yesterday, so I don't have all the reports and inside info on Hatch and Lee.

It has only been one game against a weak team.

Randall/JR with Crowton would have been alot better than it was back in the day.

From a talent standpoint, Lee/Hatch is alot worse. MR was an incredible runner and JR was a young phenom. They were just misused by an inept Jimbo fisher.
