I haven’t heard the words “back nine” out of CBS all week.

Is this because the expression was adopted by the porn industry?

I haven’t heard the word “fans” out of CBS all week either, but I’m still enjoying the tournament.

Augusta makes them call it the second 9. It's one of like 8 quirks of the tournament.

Bobby Jones didn’t want if referred to as the back nine, because it would inevitably lead to it being called the “backside”.

He didn’t like “traps” for bunkers either

Fans are called “patrons”

No running, no cell phones, no backwards caps, no shorts if you’re playing, no laying down on the grass

Speaking of quirks of the Masters. Where is the music that CBS plays right before and after breaks that automatically makes you realize you are watching the Masters? I have yet to hear it other than in one of their promo commercials.

Speaking of the masters song...it was apparently written by Kenny loggins cousin Dave. And it has lyrics which are absolutely awful. Go listen to the golfers journal podcast from this week if you want to hear them

I want to know when a putt that breaks left started being called “breaks right to left”.

Irks me. That use to be reserved for double breakers. I’ve heard it used on 2 footers now.

Why aren't the Thursday and Friday rounds on USA Network anymore?

I’m worn out with the commentators. They need someone with a personality because Faldo, Dottie. Immelmann, baker-finch, and nobilo are basically all the same person with different accents. Lund quits at least had some good pipes, although he sounded old this year. I really enjoyed colt knost on the featured groups broadcast.
