Lets say you are 14 and 15, learning BJJ and taking boxing lessons also, or one or the other. After a few years do ya'll feel that's good enough to defend yourselves, at that age, against bullies? This thread isn't about me, I'm 40 and get bullied on a daily basis on here and just have to deal with it.

Or is something like Karate or Kung Fu (which we all know is the best) is better?

It’s all stuff that will get you a manslaughter conviction if you ever implemented it, but I’d go with Kung Fu.

Well damn, /thread. I agree, but we are at school or on TD and can't use guns.

Krav Maga and BJJ are two of the more practical ones in real world situations.

I agreed until about early 2000s when Kung Fu dudes were getting their arse kicked by yellow belt BJJ guys.

MMA from a decent instructor. He/She should be knowledgeable in a mix and best of various fighting technique. I feel like practicing one technique and mastering one is limiting. MMA would be most practical because it should resemble more real life situations. Like I said it depends on the instructor.

Jiu Jitsu might operate to even up otherwise "unfair" combat due to size disparities. Tough to go on fighting with a broken arm or leg, or having been choked half to death. Or all the way to death. Hell I really don't know.

I always felt a kid learning straight up boxing was the best for an untrained HS bully, but the more I read, the more I think BJJ. Which is why I think learning BJJ and boxing secondary may be good.
