Doing a solo trip up to Montana in a couple of weeks. Got me a little cabin outside of whitefish. Planning on doing a day or two over in town though. If anyone had any restaurant recommendations or other things to see while there, it would be greatly appreciated!

Take the lift on Big Mountain ski resort. Drive around Flathead Lake.
Great Northern is a unique hole in the wall.

Cafe Kandahar is the bomb...great food, wine and wonderful atmosphere. Chef Blanton came from New Orleans back in 1999 and still runs a great ship. Elk tenderloin with the huckleberry sauce...good glass/1/2 bottle Pinot you said u where solo....you can thank me later...your lucky as it closes for the Winter and is reopening on May 1. It 1st opened in 1983 so it been making memories for 39yrs...

Second, the food was wonderful and the staff was awesome.

Some places we went and enjoyed:

-Loula's for breakfast (be prepared for a wait)
-Jersey Boys Pizza
-Casey's for the rooftop bar
-Bulldog Saloon for bar food and drinks. Make sure to check out the restrooms while there
-Sweet Peaks Ice Cream

Going myself in a couple of months, but staying in Missoula two days, Kalispell for 2 days, and in the Glacier Park lodge for 5.

Any more tips are welcome.

Just spent a week on Whitefish lake and it was fantastic. We spent a day on the lake on a pontoon and did zip-lining at the Mountain Lodge, but was only about 40 minutes from Glacier Park so it wasn’t too bad driving in. Every meal we had around Whitefish was fantastic, but downtown is super crowded and restaurants seems to close early.
