Looking to book something later this year in Turks and Caicos, and looking for suggestions on places to stay and any good charter or excursion companies

My wife and I stayed at Somerset on Grace Bay 3 weeks ago. I highly recommend it.

We did a private boat tour with snorkeling, lunch and walking on some beaches. This was a much more enjoyable experience than the over-loaded group boats we passed.
Don't remember what company we booked with, but I'm sure the concierge can point you in the right direction.

Screw an excursion. Make your own.

Get on the ferry to North Caicos. Rent a car and drive to Middle Caicos. Visit Mudjin Harbor, explore Dragon Caye and have lunch at the adjacent restaurant.

We'll be at beaches (have a kid). How safe is it to travel on your own around Caicos? 2nd time going, but never left the resort last time (outside of fishing).

It's as safe as any island in the Caribbean I've visited.

Cool. Hoping COVID doesn't spoil it but would like to explore this time.

If you get the chance that little beach on Middle Caicos is amazing. There are also plenty of flamingos on the island.

Anyone have any experience Or info on The Shore Club or Wymara? Looking at these in addition to Somerset. Shore club is a little better price.

Shore Club was amazing. Great amenities and the pools were great. food is a bit expensive but thats everywhere. service on the beach was great and the food was fantastic.

Its one of 3 properties I believe and there is a shuttle that runs to all three. The Shore club is definitely the nicest but the other two spots have some good restaurants.

Wymara seems very nice. We always eat at their restaurant at least once while we’re there. We generally stay at the Tuscany at the other end of the beach. We like that it’s a little more quiet down there.

Does anyone know if club med is still blaring loud music? Last time in TCI, we stayed at grace bay club and could hear it. We were thinking about a place that is a bit closer to club med and I’d hate to ruin a trip because of the shitfest going on there.

We just came back from our second Beaches trip in TCI but we have a 13 year old.

I fished with Caicos Water fun and would recommend them. This last time we Conch dove through Caicos Dreams and highly recommend them.

We were at the beaches resort and never went off outside of diving or fishing, so I can’t say. Airport had masks, the cab ride did and common spaces at the resort did. Also you were supposed to wear it to your table at the restaurants but most didn’t enforce. I assume the rest of the island is the same.

We stayed at Wymara a few years back when it was still the Gansevoort and absolutely loved it. We got a one bedroom beach front and it was perfect. It has a Miami type of vibe and there were very few kids, if any. It's nice being all the way at the end of the resorts and it has a huge beach front so it felt very private. We will definitely stay there again at some point when we go back to Turks.

That’s too bad. You’re missing a lot of good restaurants, and driving around the island is fun.
