Went to Walt Nazi World this past week

Well, they make it known that you MUST wear a mask while on the rides and in some parts of the waiting lines. They have no problem packing you like sardines in some very tight zig-zag lines but space you out on the ride itself... Waited 40-70 minutes for pretty much every ride. If you take your mask off for the ride, they do not give you your photo btw.

Then don't go. You knew the rules when you went. Why bitch and whine afterwards?

I live 15 minutes from WDW and haven't been in over 10 years. I have no desire to ever go to that place, or any theme park for that matter. I might stretch and go to a water park every few years.

If it bothered you that much, then why comment on my post? lmao

Didn't bother me at all. Just pointing out that you are being a whiny bitch.

It obviously did. I'm sure the people around you see the total sad little tool that you are.

This is great comedy. It's like someone who hates anchovies complaining that he ordered an anchovy pizza and it tasted terrible.

Seriously, dude, if you really hate masks that much, why wouldn't you just wait a few weeks? The vaccines work, and COVID cases are rapidly declining, and most of the mask mandates are going away.
Universal just eliminated all its mask requirements this past week. Disney will likely follow suit in a week or two. Why go and make yourself miserable, when you could have actually had a fun vacation?

I built the Caribbean Beach Resort. Three years on the property. Our parking passes got us into each of the theme parks. Site Super and I went to every restaurant at Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney. After three years ...I had no reason to go back.

The horror

Never said I was miserable.

Our group of 10 just got back yesterday, and didnt experience any of that. Never waited more than 25 min for any ride. Lines looked long, but they had social distance markers, which kept the lines moving fast. And that included our group riding Rise of the resistance on 3 separate mornings. The kiddie ride lines mostly allowed us to walk right on
Its best to arrive before they officially open, take a break during the middle of the day, and then go back until closing. We also had park hopper tickets, and we could leave after 1pm to go elsewhere if we felt the lines were too long. Disney also has an app that keeps you informed of ride wait times
Masks werent that big of a pain. Disney allowed you to be outside without one, and reminded you to put it back on when you entered a building. When on the bus, monorail, or Skyliner no said anything if you slid it down while traveling

Although I haven't been in several years and have no plans to go back anytime soon (mainly because I just like going to new places), I do like Disney World. But if I were interested in going in the near future, I would wait until it was back to pre-COVID operations.

The once great now shite OT would’ve given you the response you were looking for

Nothing screams relaxing vacation to me like waiting an hour for a 3 minute ride

We have a WDW trip coming up and the only rule I’ve seen is that the rules are almost constantly changing.
One video I watched yesterday said that the latest rumor is that the Disney folks can’t believe that people were willing to pay the same or more for less services and are going to push the envelope with more up charges. For example, Fastpasses might never come back and could be replaced by a Lightning Pass that would cost $100-$300 per person per day. Universal uses a similar system now. Less time in lines, more time in shops and restaurants.
They would also use more virtual queues and possibly never go back to the old levels of park guests. Another potential change is to get rid of annual passes.

What do you mean by virtual queues? Like making reservations for a park on a certain day?

No, like making a reservation to ride a particular ride. Lines are effectively eliminated, as no one waits in a line when you already have your place in line held virtually on your phone (or smartband or other device). As the other poster mentioned, that means that you have more time to eat and shop, which makes Disney more money while improving the guest experience (no one really likes standing in line).

Took the kids last week. We have been about 10 times since 2008 at various times of the year. This was by far the worst. Felt like they were letting 100% of the people in with only 50% of the restaurants open. Real pain in the arse to get food or take a break in the A/C. They had a 20 minutes line just to get into the Mexico pavilion at EPCOT!

Do you think that part of the problem is the pent up demand of people that haven't been vacationing for the past year and the park just didn't expect the numbers they are seeing now? Just curious for your thoughts since you went recently.
