I hit a 1 iron today, oh boy

Gimme my cookie, y'all.
So I was at the Goodwill the other day, when I spied that rarest of Pokemon: The 1 iron. Among a set, missing it's 2 iron. I scooped it up for $5.
My sub-amateur self has no idea if this is a good model or not. But in the bag it went, deteriorating original grip and all.
I take my niece with me to the restaurant with the virtual golf. After letting her hammer away with her driver for a while it was my turn.
Ball in the middle of my stance. Focused on a real easy downswing, getting hands on the inside of the plane. Stance ready, here we go.
First shot, shank-o-potamus.
Second shot, Chairman BLAOW.
Carry 190yds, 206 total yds.
Club speed 80.7mph, ball speed 119.7mph, smash factor 1.48.
Backspin 2596, Sidespin 388.
Kinda odd that I only did 10 yds more carry than my 3h, which is like 180.
I have since regripped it. Next up, cleaning and polishing it.
Maybe I'll use it if it's really windy. Otherwise, It'll just be for kicks at the range.

Back in the late 80s, the LSU course would get backed and hard as nails. I borrowed a Ping 1 iron from a friend and while I cannot say I smoked it, I hit it well enough to put driver up for the most part.

If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.
