Going take them to their first astros game. Going to be a fun time. Might swing by the Galeria as well and take the lady ice skating, if that's still a thing.
Anything else interesting and fun to do in Houston? Haven't been in ages.

Gf and I went to the Seismique Art last time and it was pretty cool tbh. We always stop at pinkerton's for BBQ tho

All this and NASA can be done with the City Pass, which is a good deal.
OP, otherwise, there are some water parks that might be nice. I know Typhoon Texas has a pretty solid toddler area.

One of the many many reasons why I always like Houston over New Orleans. Much more to choose from and better quality.
I know OP says he's bringing his kids, but families do bring their kids to breweries all the time and kids seem to love it.

Only got to Spindletap on our last visit, but they have upgraded the grounds in a big way...putt putt course, huge outdoor canopy with picnic tables and cornhole, frisbee golf area, etc. I was pretty impressed
