Checking a bag with Delta at MSY

Flew with the family in late June on a 6:00 AM flight and showed up at 4:00AM and barely made it through- the Delta baggage check line was 100 people deep. I’m flying solo this week on the same 6:00 AM flight and have to check a bag. Anyone flown out early on delta lately and has it been this bad? Thanks.

It’s because they don’t start work until 5am. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Everyone lining up to check bag for 6am flight and no one was there and then at 5 everyone comes out.

Can confirm. Morning flight bag check is an issue. Rest of the day is fine. No lines at all. One would think Delta would run an earlier shift of two or three people to fix this but apparently they don't care.

Yeah I’m pretty sure the curbside check in wasn’t available when we were there at 4:00 AM in June, hopefully it will be this time. Just planning on showing up early- I’ll give an update after I fly.
