I flew Alitalia many many times from Rome or Switzerland to my grand parents house near Catania, Sicily. This has zero impact on any travel I was going to do, but certainly brings back some nostalgic memories of very good times in my life. Ciao!

Can't believe it took this long. That airline has been in trouble for decades. How many reorgs so far?
Edit: looks like ITA is buying a chunk of assets, the brand, the ITA code, the LHR gates, etc... so this is basically one more big reorg in a line of plenty.

I thought they'd gone out of business years ago. I can't think of a better recipe for disorganization and commercial disaster than an Italian airline owned by the state. It's basically a flying Amtrak, run by Italians.

The most accurate statement of the day.

Good riddance when ever that flight came in at Terminal 1 in JFK it seemed like every person on the flight gathered right at the entrance to smoke their cigarettes.

We have all kids of people crossing our borders, but smokers? Can't have them.

Definitely can't have them. If you're going to smoke go over by the dumpsters where it already stinks. Dont crowd around the entrance
