When I watched Bama curb stomp Miami

Earlier in the day I admit I started being immediately realistic. Regardless of the outcome v UCLA I was reminded we were not on that level.
Saban doesn’t have these issues. His teams don’t have “hicupps” and require the same apologists (Miles positigers) to come in here and make threads saying it was Ida or we’ll get it figured out. We try to act like we are near them, but we’re not.
We need to be realistic as a fan base. Myself included. I got caught up on the usual preseason hype and didn’t see it coming. Again.
We have the talent. Just like when Miles was here.
We don’t have the coaching. Just like when Miles was here.
Both struck gold and won a Championship.
We have been here before.
I look forward to the next phase. Time to rebuild and find our next Saban. Talent will make it an easier path to where we expect to be.

He gets the best coaches and players, has a system in place.. We have Joe Bradys " offense lol"

I think the best thing we can do is get rid of Orgeron before he can weasel his way into more seasons like Les was able to do

O was the worst coach in Ole Miss history and LSU hired him....let that sink in.

Depends on when we make a change.
It’s only a matter of time before 17 year olds start looking at LSU as a situation that doesn’t benefit them. LSU doesn’t have a birthright to local talent.

Okay, let's take this same "Bama" viewpoint with UGA. A true UGA fan knows deep down that even with their Clemson win yesterday, UGA would still get beat by that Bama vs. Miami team we saw yesterday...UGA simply doesn't have the offense. But it didn't stop them from improving big time since last year, flying all over the field and just playing with confidence and physicality.
In the 2nd quarter and 2nd half, you saw the complete opposite of this from LSU and its coaches. We actually shrunk in the heart of the game. This has nothing to do with the ultimate arse-whooping fate of Bama, it's about the present here & now. And what I saw yesterday is actually a de-evolution from the last 4 games of 2020 which has to be extremely alarming to a true LSU fan that understands all aspects of this game.

Do you really think we have the talent? Talented guys don’t miss assignments and miss tackles and can’t communicate.

You make it sound like it's easy to find "another Saban". There is only 1 Saban, just like there's only 1 Tom Brady. After Saban retires and/or dies, then there will be a group of 4 or 5 coaches that split the titles.

The sooner you stop comparing us to Bama you’ll be a lot happier in life. There is no comparison. Saban is the GOAT

Well said. Bama is just the pie in the sky, but other teams are still improving and maximizing on their recruiting hauls. We are relegating back to the Miles era where we stockpile the garage full of Ferraris only to take them out and realize we can’t drive a stick.

Yeah, watching that game actually depressed me. You’re seeing perfection right there. Then our game started and my mood only declined further

Not sure if this reply is meant for me or the OP but I'll take it. I think we have the talent for a 9-3 type team with a 10th win from a bowl game, but we have shitty coaching and zero ability to adjust when a mastermind like Kelley exploits the middle and finds mismatches. We are not playing fast and confident which is a product of piss poor coaching and piss poor plan B. We have the pieces like lock-down corners to make shite really difficult for offenses, but Coach Zero is not a good coach. This will get bad and the only way out is to part ways and build with a Napier or Freeze type.

Watch Alabama's running backs ability to gain yardage and the O-line get push...watch the tackling of the defense...great defenses tackle well they DON'T miss tackles...Alabama is an elite program. If you ever get a chance to watch an Alabama spring practice, do it...It's an amazing exercise in utilizing every second of every minute to create a better team. It is focused on a theme and everything they do THAT day is geared toward teaching and internalizing that theme. This run that Saban has created is equivalent to the run that UCLA Men's basketball had under John Wooden. As close as LSU has come in the past, Alabama has separated itself from the rest of the crowd...

We need to stop comparing LSU to Bama! Comparing us (LSU) to Bama is laughable at this point - we are a mediocre SEC program at beast right now. Change my mind!

Jesus Christ, how many more cliches do you want to polish the turd with: 1 Saban, 1 Brady, 1 heartbeat, c'mon brah. I said nothing about finding the next Saban or Urban Meyer, I said this POS we currently have for a coach has jumped the shark and it's time we go in another direction. This team was lost throughout the game and it's only going to get worse when attrition and injuries kick in for the elite SEC teams.

At this point I’m time all any team can hope for is that every few years they have a team good enough to beat bama.
No one has done it consistently. Clemson was 2-2 with Deshawn Watson and Trevor Lawrence (and an elite DL)
