Took the kids for 4 days to Disneyland & California Adventure prior to the UCLA game. It was legit.
No lines Tues or Wed. More people on Thurs. Lots of people on Friday for the holiday weekend.
It amazes me that you can enjoy Disneyland year round because of the weather. Never got above 84 degrees. No humidity. This in late Aug & early Sept.
My 6-year-old rode:
Space Mtn 6 times
Thunder Mtn 2 times
Splash Mtn 2 times
Matterhorn 4 times
Incredicoaster 4 times
Webslingers 4 times
Rise of the Resistance 2 times
Smugglers Run 2 times
Mission Breakout (old Tower of Terror) 2 times

rise of the resistance twice
that's legit
So much more to do in CA than theme parks and athletic events like college football, UCLA stadium would have been half empty if not for influx of LSU fans
We went to Sea World and Lego Land in San Diego several years ago and there was no wait for anything

I’ve done DW 3x in my life and the family went 5 years ago and had a blast
We did SoCal right before COVID and did 3 days at DL and California Adventure.
It blew away all expectations and I think I prefer it over DW. We stayed across the street at a Fairfield for $165 a night and no buses or long lines. California Adventure is very underrated as well
It never got above 73 the whole time with no humidity. Did dinner one night on Huntington Beach
We can’t wait to go back

California Adventure is almost like a "The Best of..." theme park. Uses some of the best parts of the non Magic Kingdom florida parks and has them all in one place.
