My 12 year old lives and breathes soccer, and he has gotten me hooked as well. We get up every weekend for and watch Premier League. His fav player is Pogba so he's a Man U fan. I want to surprise him for his 13 bday and fly over there and catch a game. Specifically when they play Watford in Feb. Anyone have any experience purchasing Premier League tickets? I've been doing some loose research, but dont understand the 3rd party do's and don'ts cause there seems to be a lot of scams. Any help would be appreciated...sorry tl;dr

If your dead set on a big six club like United

Go ahead and check first when those tickets go on sale

There have been times when the entire season went on sale

But usually tickets go on sale around two months beforehand bc how fixtures can change

Keep in mind it can still happen and you might end up with an EPL match mid week, which is the normal around November until April

But the best thing to do is get a club membership for you both. Should cost around $60 for both.

That gives you access to get basically every chance to get United home tickets

Let me know if you have anymore questions, I’ve been to 20+ United home matches

The third party can be a scam or you will pay way over face value. That’s illegal in England and if clubs find tickets on those sites they can cancel them without you knowing

My boy came to visit and another friend of ours who lived in London bought Palace vs City tickets for like £75 a piece on live football tickets. We in the second to last row in an obstructed view

Thanks for the info. I'm going to sign up, also just found the hospitality packages on the team website. May just end up doing that, seems like it would be a pretty cool experience. If I pull the trigger, I will definitely need so trip planning advice. Thanks again.

I got those hospitality tickets once

If you get there early enough it’s pretty sweet

We didn’t

But we had the basic package and it was pretty cool, private bar and food buffet all for about £60 a piece

Depends on your price range. There are hospitality tickets that are extremely expensive that come with a hot buffet and club seats, and then there’s ways to try and get cheaper ones from season ticket holders and through a club membership like he said. I have never had luck with getting Chelsea tickets through my membership but then again I never tried the American ticket site. I have been to 10 or so games at the bridge your son will have a BLAST

What about a club like West Ham? Is it any different? I imagine it must've been nearly impossible when they were playing at the 35,000 seat Boleyn Ground but seems way more accessible now at London Stadium.

Classic 12 year old

Man U is bandwagon as frick. But is it really bandwagon when you haven't won shite in 4 years

You should be supporting a non top 6 in to 2 seasons team like Arsenal so that no one can call your kid a bandwagoner fan. We have great players like Granit Xhaka

Funny this post is here. My son wants to go to a City game and asked me how much I thought tickets were. I told him idk but I didn't think they were that hard to come by coming from Pep's recent comments. Any experience there from anyone?

Arsenal was the ultimate bandwagon team in the early mid 2000s.

Sir Winston would be another great person to watch a match with.

Arsenal is relatively easy. You become member of the club and just go on their ticket exchange and purchase whatever you want.

I’m sure United has the same.

Some clubs even guarantee a foreign fan a ticket to whatever home game they want if it’s their first time.

Lol, nope. Still manu. Liking manu was always like me being born in the swamp and being a Yankees fan. Which I’m not, but manu is def the most popular club for bandwagon fans.
