This needs to come to an end before all hell breaks loose. I could only imagine what would have happened if Troy planted their flag on the Tiger’s eye when they upset us.

I don't really see why this is a big deal. If you don't want them to plant the flag on your field don't let them beat you. Seems like a bitch move to get so upset about it. Reminds of something baseball players would do after giving up a homer and getting mad at them for celebrating too hard

When OU did it at Ohio St, may have been the most pumped I've ever been during a game that wasn't LSU (I am not an OU fan in any form, although I appreciated Baker Mayfield's abilities and performances). That being said, its a one hit wonder. That was two upper tier, Blue Blood programs. For a unranked G5 team to run out and plant a flag on a, soon to be G5, unranked teams field is more tasteless than UGA Fans stat bragging over their Vandy Game.
Also, OU execution of the flag planting was done once all the OSU team had left the field. TCU players were still shaking hands at the 50 when SMU tried to recreate the planting.

Well, we (LSU) have had these incoming Tigers (AU) smoke cigars on the Tiger's eye before. How is that any different?

I think it should become a basic part of the game. If you win on the road you get to plant and/or raise your flag in the opponent's stadium. If you win at home you get to take your opponent's flag.
It wouldn't be the first time a team raised their flag on foreign ground after a big win....

Or...ya know, you could just act like you've fricking been there before and not like trash.
This celebration culture we've allowed to take hold has taken away from sports.
