The Condor flight to Frankfurt was a great deal, not sure if it's still operating

British Airways direct to London. Was flying 5 days a week until COVID shut it down. No word when it will resume.

The BA flight to LHR resumes December 9th and will be three times a week. I'm booked on it on Christmas Day en route to South Africa.

The London flight is a game changer for MSY. I don’t like BA but it’s nice to have that option.
I am really hoping for a direct to Paris on Air France someday.

I second this ...dont care for BA but LHR-> MSY is nice. passport control at MSY is so quick and it’s nice to get off of international and know it’s a short drive home. About to book a Greece trip with 1 layover each way, home leg stop at LHR

Delta flies direct ATL-JNB would save a tone of time.

Thanks. It would if the schedule worked for me. I have to be back Jan. 2nd, because I have to work the next day. I'm traveling with my daughter, and I promised her that she could spend a normal Christmas morning and lunch with her mom (we're divorced). That wouldn't work with flying Delta and connecting in ATL, or with flying United and connecting in EWR. But we can leave Baton Rouge at 5pm and comfortably make the 8:20 PM MSY-LHR flight. That's the fastest to JNB given our departure time. We'll have a nice 7-hour layover -- plenty of time to go into London proper, or maybe just Windsor, since it's so close to LHR.
We actually used 75k AA miles each to book ourselves into business class. Whether booking through their own program or through a partner like AA, BA charges ridiculous fees to fly in biz using miles ($750 per person for the one-way), but it's amazing to find availability on Christmas Day, and it's worth it to have a lie-flat seat for two consecutive nights.

Re Greece inbound flight. The flight from Athens to LHR is something close to 5 hours if I recall. Longer if you are connecting to Athens from an island like Santorini. But it’s not a bad idea to spend the night in London and then hit the LHR-MSY the next day.

Best way to find BA? Google Flights have it or have to use their website?

Since you know there is only one flight you are looking for, I'd just go direct to the carrier's web site.

Good luck with that. The only reason we have an LHR direct is because BP promised they’d purchase a specific # of F and J seats each week for their employees making it profitable for BA. Not sure there are any big companies headquartered in Paris who regularly have high ranking employees working here.

Google Flights is really easy. You can just put in MSY-LHR and select nonstop, and you'll only see the BA flights.
