Lost 300+ trees. Still alot of debris and mess in the rough, but tee to green in good shape and greens are quick right now. Plays alot more open and fair.

yes, 18. used to be willowdale. i grew up there. go back each year for their members\guest tournament. the new ownership has been putting big money into and it was really looking great in April of this year. haven't seen it, other than driving by, since the storm.

Given what this place looked like 6 weeks ago, this is not a small feat. The Willowdale area got hammered. Good on the leadership for making this happen.

Friend of mine who is a member has been playing the Wednesday evening scrambles. He says it is playing much more wide open but some of the old trees in the fairways like 2 and 13 are still there. He said the greens were in good shape and faster than he had expected.

Considering the number of trees Ida destroyed the course was in very good shape. I’ve never seen the greens there this nice and fast. Fairways were much better than before. Enjoyed the round.

We started on 9 and waited for every shot after Hole 12. When we got to Sunbelt Rentals tent on 13 tee we waited for 2 groups to tee off. Sunbelt Rentals had a badass fried oyster dish they were serving

those oysters were fire. We got all 18 holes in, finished on 7 and I couldn't even see my second shot 4 iron stick 6 ft from the pin (sank the eagle putt). I was surprised on the pace of play, we really had no hold ups until #2 which was on our back nine. Group ahead (3 some) tended to let the green clear on every hole before they would tee off.

Can't stress this enough. Nicest I've EVER seen that course. Very impressed with what they're doing. We started on 4 and didn't really get loose until 5 or 6 holes later despite the 6:30am bloody mary that was delish. The oysters were excellent, fried perfect with the pickled onion and radish topping. The fried bacon two holes earlier was killer too.

Pace was slow for us. But we only had two golfers on our team, me and another guy. The other two guys don't play except for this tournament so they wouldn't hit alot of shots after we played ours. Said we can't do better than that, lets roll..lol. Didn't finish our round. They stopped us when we finished 18 and said they need the carts for the afternoon shift. We still hadn't played 1,2 and 3 but we were only 1 under so we didn't bitch.

Went drink and eat fried ribs ole boy was doing at the Total Safety trailer.
