Rommel was a great leader. His book was about his experiences in World War One as a combat officer, so, his book dealt with infantry tactics exclusively and had not a word devoted to armor tactics.
That's not important, however. Rommel's book is about COMBAT LEADERSHIP and those lessons are applicable to infantry warfare, tank warfare, horse warfare and even spaceship warfare.
I say this because for years I thought that Rommel's book was about tank warfare and I feel certain that many others shared my mistaken belief.
