Pinellas Co detail updated 12:23 CT:
2012
Dem 174,955 37.85%
Rep 180,131 38.97%
I/O 107,162 23.18%
2016 (so far)
Dem 156,428 37.00%
Rep 165,023 39.03%
I/O 101,379 23.98%
(I/O = Independent or Other)
Link to 2012 data
Edited to add:
Obama beat Romney by 0.88% in Florida in 2012.
Just based on party turnout right now, Pinellas is -0.85% Dem, +0.06% Rep, and +0.70% Indy/Other compared to 2012. Given that Trump is winning Election Day voting and Pinellas polls are open for another 5+ hours, I expect those margins to increase during the afternoon.

Yes. Obama won the county, but R's won turnout

So Romney won IND voters big in Hillsborough County in 2012 but Obama won IND voters in Pinellas?
I'm so fricking confused now
I thought that Trump looked really good but this would take a ton of his margin of error away

Pretty sure that's the 2012 total. It's dated Dec 4th

I don't know if O won Indys, or if more R's voted Obama than D's voted Romney

Yeah that's interesting. Regardless R turnout looks good today.

Yeah it's just not the slam dunk I was hoping for though. FL will def. be tight

No reason to get worked up. I could be wrong. But, if you look at 2012 in Pinellas (back on page 12), the final tally is 462,000 votes of which it showed Republicans responsible for 39% and Democrats responsible for 38%. It looks like basically the same makeup for 2016 although Democrats may be slightly lower - say 37%. If you think that Trump is already up 2% and the independents (who are even more culturally diverse than the 2 parties) are going to break for Trump by 15 points, you are probably going to be disappointed when they start counting.

What about the counties in the panhandle? Do those have results yet?

Yeah I feel like we need a read on Panhandle, JAcksonville and Orlando suburbs like Apoptka or whatever

Outside of Escambia County with Pensacola and Tallahassee the panhandle is always strong republican. I think I've seen literally one Hillary road sign in the 3 county area I'm in.

Will be interesting to see if the Broward County margin is lower than in 2012. Supposedly the slate site has it going 55-35 for Clinton which would be a fair bit worse than how Obama performed (+35).
