To everyone else: Here. We. Go.
1. We just put the epitome of rape culture in the White House. Teach your sons and daughters what consent is. Teach them to be better. I want to see you all volunteering at the rape crisis center, 'cause it's about to get worse out there.
2. Get ready to write some checks to charity, 'cause it's gonna get bad out there. Federal cuts are going to be hard and swift and the most vulnerable will be hit hardest. Food banks, homeless initiatives, etc. are going to need it the most. Check out the charity before you give and make sure the money goes to programs and not overhead because every dollar will count.
3. A recession is likely coming. Get your resumes, skills and education in order and help your friends and family do the same. Support your neighbors who lose their jobs.
4. Support minorities. I can't stress this one enough. The candidate endorsed by the KKK was just elected. White supremacists will be emboldened by this. When you see discrimination and harassment against gay people, religious minorities, racial or ethnic minorities, stand up. Say something. Get those people to safety. Report it. Call it out. It just got a lot more dangerous for a lot of people to exist in this country. Acknowledge that. And fight it.
5. Fight inequality wherever you find it. And fight it hard. We're going to have to give money to support these causes. We're going to have to march. We're going to have to chain ourselves to stuff. HOLD THE LINE!
6. We're going to get tired, but we're going to keep fighting. But we're not going to get violent. We're going to fight with our voices. We're going to do it by raising our children to be better than we are. We'll do it by supporting people who don't fit in the majority and showing them love every day.
And in four years, we'll get back out there and make this right. That effort starts today. Who's with me?

Rape and lynchings are pure hyperbole and fantasy, but the other part of the list have merit.
We do need to help out charities and our friends. When we see true discrimination point it out. And we probably are headed for a recession...
