This is the popular answer from people who don't pay attention.

See my post above. What's strange, is most Evangelicals I know didn't even know about the 501c3 thing, even though he mentioned it in his convention speech, and several times throughout his campaign.

when he got her on the record during the 3rd debate on the SCOTUS question about partial birth abortion... game changer with evangelicals

It was the changing point for me. I went from uneasy about voting for Trump to no brainer.

two things:

one, the addition of Mike Pence gave them some comfort of having someone on the ticket whose faith aligned with theirs (Trump had the rest)

second, his answer on the partial birth abortion question during third debate. Where any other GOP candidate would have given an answer equivalent to a ground out to second base, his answer was a grand slam.

Wikileaks showing HRC ties to the occult didn't hurt. I think that helped with the Latino and AA vote as well.

Mama said she was da devil!!!

ETA: Her late term abortion answer didn't hurt either

When your opponent is tied to occult ceremonies and wants to allow late term abortions, it makes you seem much better in comparison.

My friend's mom said it perfectly:

Many religions ( not just my Christian faith) show their Gods using flawed people to do great things. Now is the time when those of us who reluctantly supported Donald Trump must pray that he will be the very best version of himself. I know that I am not the same person I was 20 years ago or even 20 days ago as life has a way of wearing you down like a grindstone- or polishing you up like a jewel. My prayer is that he will live up to the healing words he spoke in his acceptance speech and that they will become his mantra of inclusiveness.

There has been a lot of talk about this election between my fellow Christians, and how neither candidate is a good choice if you are voting based on your religious beliefs. Lesser of two evils was thrown around a bunch. What it all boiled down to was a conservative supreme court and abortion. None of the evangelicals (and I hate that term) would vote for someone who believes late term abortion is fine, and as a bonus we will end up with a slightly conservative SCOTUS.

I'm curious. Which of Johnson's views do you consider liberal?

I assume more Christian (read in this case... Catholics) came out for Trump following the release of the "Catholic Spring" Podesta e-mail

pretty sure that probably made quite a number people of faith very, very angry w/ Dems

ETA: even though I'm not practicing, I still ID myself as a Catholic... and yes seeing that pop up and reading that did raise the BP a little

He's also pro legalizing All drugs including heroine, crack, methods, etc.

Although I consider myself very Libertarian like, I can't get on board with hard drugs like that being legal and wide open borders.... Weed and coke... Fine, legalize it... Who cares.
