Simple math. My only path to the top is better pitching. No amount of HR was going to fix that.
Bonus was the youth in the return for a very old SP staff.
Negatives was losing 35 HR with 1B, 2B, and 3B eligibility. And no longer saying Muncy’s name with my son to the tune of Brass Monkey.
Gyno remains one of the best trade partners in the league. Rarely if ever sends trash offers and always considers needs.
