Has anyone ever had this experience?

I have been playing in an FFL league for 5 years. Not once have I made the playoffs. Last year I barely missed the playoffs despite having the most points scored in the league.
This year my team is worse. I am 11/12 in points scored. My team is falling apart. David Johnson might not play another snap.
But I don’t give a frick.
Because I’m in the playoffs.
Derrick Henry just got me 23 points in 3 minutes and I’ve clinched the #4 spot.
I’m going to lose by one billion in the first round of the playoffs but I don’t really care.
For the first time, I’m getting my $50 entry fee back and won’t look back at the end of the year and wonder why I waste my money.
I know I’ve gotten lucky as shite but I give no fricks right now. I’m 8-4.

So just making the playoffs gets you your entry fee back?

Yeah. $50 entry fee.
1st- $325
2nd- $150
3rd- $75
4th- $50
Low man each weeks chips in $5.
The winner of the consolation bracket gets the $65 from that.

In my league you get half your entry fee back if you finish 4th. It's generally a pretty competitive league (we've booted people for not setting lineups) so the thought was making the playoffs is something of an accomplishment.
10 teams, $100 buy in, $1000 pot to start
-Weekly high score gets $10
-Regular season champ gets $10
-4th gets $50
-3rd gets $100
-2nd gets $200
-1st gets $500
