Prefiction: Stafford will be the #1 qb in fantasy this week.

He may be and I would still hold the same opinion. Over the many years that I've been playing fantasy for me it's rarely worked out to bench a top 3 QB for another QB with a good matchup. Of course there are outliers and no one can predict this shite, but I prefer to stick with the one QB and use the bench spot for position players. Doesn't mean that's the only way or even the right way.

That’s within the realm of possible outcomes. Along with about 8 other QBs

And in the realm of possible outcomes is Lamar scoring 15 points. Same as Stafford who had a down week against another bad secondary in the Eagles. Could the Patriots defense be overrated because of the offensives they have played. Is Lamar overrated based on the defenses he has played. Plenty of projections have Stafford outscoring Lamar this week. I believe its lazy to just play Lamar because he has more points as of now. Do your research and make a call. Im fine either way between these 2 this week.

I do agree though, if I owned Lamar, I wouldnt have another qb on my roster.

I just so happened to come across this just now from pro football focus...
quote:

While Stafford has a best possible matchup, Jackson’s matchup almost couldn’t be any worse. However, he’s also been fantasy’s most productive quarterback, averaging 25.4 fantasy points per game. And, since entering the league, he has the highest floor in fantasy, reaching at least 16.0 fantasy points in 13 of 14 career starts.

New England’s man-heavy scheme has also, like most man-heavy schemes, historically struggled against especially mobile quarterbacks. Over the past three seasons, New England has allowed six or more rushing attempts to an opposing quarterback five times. The quarterbacks in those games averaged 27.0 fantasy points per game. In all other 41 games, quarterbacks averaged just 15.1 fantasy points per game against New England. Keep in mind, Jackson is averaging 11.9 rush attempts per game. Maybe this is a stretch, but the bottom line is Jackson has been too good to bench, even in this tough matchup.

D if I said who is more likely to drop a 10 burger, the answer is Stafford. If I asked who is more likely to drop a 30 burger, answer is jackson

You mention the dud Philly game.. on the road. Green Bay dud? On the road. Stafford historical home/road splits? Different guy at home. Stafford traveling from Eastern time to play west coast game? I know a player of your ilk has perused these numbers

You really don’t believe this is simply a case of “Jackson has scored more points let’s start him” do ya

Maybe if you only look at who has scored more points

Neh. I just offer my opinion. I learned a long time ago that anything can happen and no one is right all the time.
