For lying on an injury report, particularly as it pertains to your best player. It’s not that difficult. Mason told a reporter point blank he knew he was starting Friday night. SF kept up the charade until an hour before kickoff the CMC was active

As a league you can’t crawl into bed with gambling sites and then let that go unpunished

A guy of his status that hasn’t been listed on any injury report the entire week leading up to game isn’t suspicious or out of the blue to you? Not a damn peep out of anyone until an hour before game time smells like BS, unless he injured himself during warmups.

What I'm telling you is that he has been listed on the injury report all week. He was a limited participant with calf/Achilles soreness all week.

Was Mason known before CM got hurt? Guy I was going against had him 7 days before CM went down.

Yes, to people who pay attention. I picked up Mason the moment that Elijah Craig went on IR, and I don't own CMC (we have an 8 player deep bench).

You’re irrationally unhinged here.

What exactly do you want him fined for?
I don't think you've been paying attention the last few years.
Gambling, dfs, ffl are a big market for the nfl. So they've been making it clear to teams you can't play coy too much when it comes to player injuries.
Mason saying he found out Friday doesn't help.

Small batch sample size but I bet he’s back this year. Low proof of this.

Wait so you think SF coaching staff was trying to throw this game or get over on some prop bets?

They went about it properly by what the protocols are, right?

I’m still not seeing what they can get them on here.

How the hell did you deduce that form what I said? They don't care about gambling or fantasy, that's not the point. They still had the focal point of their offense listed as questionable when it came out last night that he was projected to be out on Friday. Whether the coaches like it or not, gambling and fantasy football are a massive ratings driver for the NFL and the NFL has partnered with gambling sites. They can't have teams purposely misleading the general public. Perhaps Mason misspoke, but when the backup comes out and says they told me Friday I was starting, and CMC was a game time scratch, it's not a good look. That information contradicts that SF was truthful on the injury report

Yeah I think it was mostly fine, until Mason opened his mouth according to the earlier post (haven't seen the exact comment).

Team has already come out and said his comment was inaccurate.

This really can’t be proven either way so I’d expect nothing to come out of this.

It's week 1 bro. I'm not sweating a fantasy loss- it's a terrible precedent to set.

Hopefully your round 1 pick is a game time scratch when he plays on Monday night

Did Mason say that CMC was going to be out or that he was told on Friday that he'd be starting? That's two different things. Maybe Shanahan or the RB coach told Mason to prepare as if he will start (hell, maybe they told him outright that he would be starting), but that doesn't mean SF did anything wrong with CMC.

Mason starting doesn't automatically mean CMC is out. Maybe they were planning on playing CMC situationally or on a snap count and they didn't like what they saw in pregame warmups.

Who had zero incentive to lie and who had every incentive to lie? Are you that dense? Naïve perhaps?

What exactly is the teams incentive to lie about CMC not playing?
