Melvin Gordon vs Zeke Elliott

Gordon is holding out and is going close to Rd2.
Zeke is holding out and is still locked in the top 4.
What is the logic there?

People were more optimistic about Zeke getting his deal and reasonably so.
Now, I could see Zeke sliding behind a few guys (the rest of the top tier, DJ, and maybe a couple others) if news like today continues. After Lev Bell sat, we are all way more afraid of getting burned. I never thought he would sit all year.

Gordon has more leverage to sit out more games than Zeke does

Gordon has better backups, so chargers are less inclined and thus more likely he sits out.
Zeke has worse backups and dallas is retarded so they will lay him eventually.
I love Gordon, but if I had to chance one, I’d take zeke

Dallas controls Zeke for longer so he has less
leverage
leverage

I get that Gordon has more leverage but Elliott is "training" in Cabo right now instead of reporting to camp and telling anyone who will listen he won't play without a new deal. The team already granted him his year per ESPN so he can walk after this season if he chooses like Bell did last year.
So two guys with basically the same on field potential, saying the exact same things and one is sitting ADP of 2-4 and the other is at 12. Seems strange to me.

ESPN was reporting this wasn't true earlier.
I just don't see how you can include Zeke in that RB tier 1 anymore with Sequon/AK/McCaffrey

Lol at Gordon being in the same tier as Zeke.
All things normal, Gordon isn't even a top 5 rb.

Bell ruined one of my teams last year

I won't be surprised if Gordon doesn't play this year. I'm not sure of the numbers involved so I base it off of need.
The Chargers offense can move the ball without Gordon. They still have Rivers, Allen, Henry, Williams and two serviceable RBs.
The cowboys offense requires Zeke IMO. I think the Dallas front office is bluffing & when it comes down to it, they'll pay the man. Without him they don't have a season.

As someone who took Lev Bell #1 overall and didn't snag James Conner, I DREAD seeing either of these two guys fall to my late 1st/early 2nd round picks. Please lord don't make me have to make that decision. The wounds are still too fresh
