On my roster I have Claypool, Connors, D. Johnson, and Tucker. Yesterday morning I sat the 3 Steeler's players and forgot to sit Tucker also. Slye is my other kicker and I should've started him. My issue now is even if the game is played, Baltimore basically has no one and I am not sure if they get into scoring position for Tucker to be relevant. I can pickup Elliot for tonight's game, but that means I have to drop one of the above. Do I pick up Elliot and if so, who of the 4 above to I drop, or do I roll the dice with Tucker? I'm struggling with this one. And yes, the current matchup and score means I most likely need a kicker to get over the top unless Wilson just goes crazy tonight. He has Myers, Seahawk's kicker, going for him tonight.

What is your record?

Are you on the cusp of getting into the playoffs?
Will the outcome of this week be significant to getting into the playoffs?

If this week is a must-win, then you drop Tucker and get Elliot. Hell, that might even be the best move given the widespread nature of the Covid among all of the Ravens. They may not be back to full strength for a couple weeks. Meanwhile, Eagles have a fantastic schedule going forward.

1. Elliot has to be one of the worst fantasy kickers. Going off the top of my head here, without looking at the stats but I'd bet the stats back me up. But Pederson's style strips him of a lot of opportunities

2. If you're going to drop someone, drop Tucker. But I'd personally play Tucker over Elliott.

3- why do you have two kickers currently on your roster?

Record is 6-5 and yes on the cusp. Currently in 3rd out of 6 on my side of the league. Two tied behind me at 5-6 with one of the assured to win his game this week looking at the current score. I think you are right also, I just hate to cut Tucker. I do have Slye though also who has dang near outperformed Tucker in every game the last 5 or so weeks.

And I have 2 kickers because I am pretty stacked at all other positions and there isn't really anyone left to pickup worth a dang. I picked up Slye when Tucker had a bye and never dropped him. I play him sometimes over Tucker if the matchup is better. I know, dumb.

2 responses with differing answers. That sums up why I’m scratching my head on this one.

I mean if you feel like you have to have the points your only real option is to drop Tucker. You can't drop any of the other 3 and there has to be some sort of moral clause that prevents you from having 3 kickers. I would wait until right before kickoff to make the move though. We may get an update about tomorrow before then.

I am in a similar situation and am starting Elliott over Tucker.

It's a shite situation but unless I see something that convinces me tomorrow game happens between now and 8pm that's what I am doing

So your league doesn't let you drop a player that's played, so you can't drop Slye right now, correct?

Points are points. Kickers are almost interchangeable based upon the matchup, weather, indoors/outdoors etc. Tucker's good, but that team is in disarray right now. If you need some points, versus the zero, pick up Elliot and role the dice. They may or may not play still. It's a manageable risk. If no on one else is riding your bench, and you can't drop anyone else, drop Tucker and hope you get him next week. Or the kicker du jour still on next week's wire. Those others are too valuable to drop. The variation of K1 to K12 is historically less than 2 pt/game. You need it you need it. You don't you don't. Your call.

Well looks like the game may be pushed back again or forfeited so choose wisely.

Already done. I appreciate the advice fellas. I dropped Tucker and picked up Elliot. Hopefully I can pick Tucker back up but I still have Slye if not. Will def be dropping Elliot regardless. Hopefully someone decent comes available on the wire.

Rarely a reason to carry 2 kickers. The variability is too great to predict week to week. Drop one for the waiver wire darling du jour if it looks reasonable. I'd rather carry two Ds into the playoffs. Like AZ if available.
